Description

Description: Tall, layered ' bee-hive' headdress, characteristic of the period. The head is hollow, and has a small hole at the back. Two holes below the level of the ears could have been used for the insertion of ear-rings. The clay is mainly reddish-brown, but has been fired grey in places. A fair amount of white paint survives in crevices.
