Description
A black-figure eye-cup with Dionysus masks between the eyes and vines around, close to the Krokotos Group, reconstructed from fragments. Side A: Mask of Dionysus with beard and moustache, wreathed in ivy between two eyes. The pupils are black and iris was originally painted red, white then black with incision between. Vine tentrils eminate from the mask and from two twisted vine stems below each handle. Side B: identical, but part of mask missing. Inside: tondo missing, three reserved bands extant.
